The RDX QuikStor combines the simplicity of tape based backup with the speed and instant access of a hard drive with internal and external drives and removable cartridges in a range of capacities.

Easy

RDX QUIKSTOR combines the simplicity of tape based backup with the speed and flexibility of a hard drive. Compact internal or external drives take neat pocket-sized cartridges. Each cartridge is a rugged miniature hard disk - your computer will recognise it and provide instant access and easy drag and drop control. Or simply run the backup software provided for a total backup of your hard drive. When a cartridge gets full, just insert another - simple!

Fast

RDX QUIKSTOR is designed to sustain data transfers up to 45MB/sec - that’s more than 162GB/hr. With capacities of 80, 160, 320 and 500GB of data on a single cartridge you have enough capacity to back up your entire computer, ensuring your data is fully protected yet instantly available. Recording is fast - so is backup restoration. There is none of the rewind delay of tape systems. Access is near-instant, allowing you to work directly with data on the cartridge, just as you would with any other hard drive.

Rugged

Drives are tough, and cartridges are shockproof, and rugged enough to last for over 10 years - knocks and drops don't mean lost data. Plus your valuable data is protected through strong encryption offered within Backup Exec, ensuring complete peace of mind.

Portable

The cartridges are small and durable, so you can slip them in your pocket to take away. Store them offsite for archiving - or use them to transfer data to another computer.

CDP with RDX FileKeeper

RDX FileKeeper is a revolutionary backup software package that combines two important technologies into one simple solution—continuous data protection (CDP) and disaster recovery protection. By providing byte-level
CDP on all user data and file-level backup for all systems data, every document is protected as it is saved to disk, regardless of whether the system is connected or disconnected to the RDX. With CDP, the RDX automatically stores new data as needed throughout the day, and single file de-duplication keeps only those bytes of data that change. RDX FileKeeper offers simple right click access to earlier versions of files while easily protecting against accidental deletions, corruption and accidental overwriting.

Disaster recovery backup allows users to make complete system images—snapshots of the system at points in time—to provide complete protection against hardware failure and other disasters. If the customer is
using Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, the DR can be done directly from the RDX.

Disk Based Backup

Tandberg Data's DPS1000^TM Series VTL optimizes performance of data management operations, providing almost immediate access to data and dramatically reducing backup and recovery time.

The intuitive management, secure seamless integration, and scalability of the DPS1000 Series are features not currently found in Virtual Tape Libraries and Disk-to-Disk solutions. Optional DPS Expansion Module disk arrays can be utilized to provide additional capacity. The DPS1000 Series can be used with a tape device for consolidated off-site backup, long term archiving and disaster recovery.

LTO™ (Ultrium™), the most popular tape technology, is a high-performance tape technology offering versatility, reliability and performance.

The Tandberg Data LTO tape drives, featuring LTO-2, LTO-3 or LTO-4 tape drive technology, offer a break-through in reliability, capacity and performance to meet the backup and archival needs for small to midrange environments. With its higher performance and capacity, the Tandberg Data LTO tape drive is an ideal compliment to small rack mounted servers and automation by providing compatible desktop backup for smaller workstations.

Lower TCO is achieved by exploiting the performance and capacity of the LTO-2, LTO-3 or LTO-4 tape drive to reduce the number of tape cartridges, tape drives, and tape libraries required in a storage environment, allowing existing customers to expand their current installation and new customers to install a more cost-effective solution.
